What is a Private Auction?
A Private Auction is the means by which customers who have been approved as Volume Buyers purchase online. Private Auctions allow you to counter a particular price in the system if you feel that the price is not in keeping with fair market value. As an approved Volume Buyer, Red Rabbitt assumes you have knowledge of fair market pricing and will submit reasonable offers. Inequitable bids will be rejected.

Does a Private Auction involve open bidding?
A Private Auction is between you and a Red Rabbitt sales representative; it does not involve open bidding. The process enables you to override the online price and submit a counter bid to Red Rabbitt for approval.

How do I participate in a Private Auction?
If you are an approved Volume Buyer, you can place merchandise on a Private Auction by filling your cart and submitting it to Red Rabbitt with the price you want to pay. Our representatives (not an automated application) review and counter Private Auction bids.

How do I know if my bid is approved?
You will receive an email informing you whether or not your Private Auction bid has been approved.

What happens if my Private Auction bid is not approved? Can I re-submit a bid? How many times?
If your bid is not approved, you can go back into the Private Auction section of the online menu, where the prices not accepted will be posted. You may resubmit another bid before the Private Auction order is deleted and the inventory returned to stock.
